The Careers Service is a Department within the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHED), a faculty focused on the achievement of student success. The Department participates actively within the UCT entrepreneurship ecosystem as a whole, but specifically focuses on providing support to student entrepreneurs within that system. Students are encouraged to consider entrepreneurship as a career pathway whether this be their first or alternate choice relevant to employment. Self-employment, particularly in the area of Social Enterprise, and the creation of work for others directly alleviates poverty, stimulates the economy and can drive social change.
Entrepreneurial activity during your studies could enable you to generate an additional income and fast-track the process of becoming economically active. Find out more about UCT's Entrepreneurship Ecosystem.
