Where & How To Find A Job

Current Students

  1. MyCareer is for UCT students. All employers who have jobs that they want to advertise post them on this portal. Under the Find jobs use the search function to look at specific organisations and industries.
  2. Look at options with my degree under your subject. There are links to voluntary work and other work site links.
  3. There are many opportunities on campus. Contact administrative departments, research, the libraries, mentoring and tutoring in residences, faculties, student clubs and societies. Remember unpaid work is also good experience
  4. When organisations are on campus for expos, showcases or career talks, ask them whether they offer vacation work
  5. Waitressing, babysitting, customer service work and promotion work are all opportunities to develop valuable skills. Spread the word with your friends and family that you are looking for opportunities.
