UCT Vice Chancellor, Dr Max Price, hosted a Partnership Recognition Breakfast on Wednesday 20 July.

Representatives from 21 companies attended the event held at the Michelangelo Hotel in Johannesburg where their long-standing and valued support for UCT was acknowledged.

The extent of the support of these companies is far reaching, and has had a significant impact on students directly through contract bursary opportunities as well as the advancement of academic output and industry driven progress. Dr Price used this opportunity to thank these corporate partners and review and bring into context the happenings both on campus and nationally as part of the #FeesMustFall student protests. He also highlighted what has been happening since.

The event was extremely well received with these corporates feeling more engaged and connected to the University. They were also acknowledged for their role in the continued success of the University and the importance of their involvement in growing the South African talent pool.
